Alia Seeks APC Unity in Benue Ahead of 2027 Elections

Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State, is taking steps to reconcile stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He convened a high-level meeting that includes significant party members such as George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Alia emphasized the importance of unity among party members, stating that internal differences are insignificant compared to their shared goals. He expressed optimism that the reconciliation meeting would bring together various factions within the party.

Alia also highlighted the need for continued support for President Bola Tinubu's administration and mentioned ongoing infrastructure projects in the state, including major water works and road projects. He reassured stakeholders of his commitment to worker welfare and the overall development of Benue State.

Additionally, he noted the purchase of nomination forms by the Nigeria Union Pension and the Benue Motorcyclist Owners Association, indicating support for his governance.
