APC's Oladejo Challenges ADC, NDC on 2027 Readiness

Mogaji Seye Oladejo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has called on opposition parties, specifically the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the New Democratic Congress (NDC), to demonstrate their preparedness for the 2027 general elections by establishing political structures and fielding credible candidates. Oladejo criticized the ADC, associated with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, for lacking governorship candidates in eight states, and the NDC, linked to Peter Obi, for not having candidates in twelve states.

He questioned how these parties could aspire to win the presidency without adequate political organization. Oladejo emphasized that elections are won through grassroots mobilization, not merely through social media campaigns or political alliances.

He urged opposition parties to show confidence in their platforms by contesting for elective offices and warned against equating social media popularity with electoral strength, stressing the importance of direct voter engagement.
