APM Names Bala Mohammed as Makinde's Running Mate for 2027

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has officially named Bala Mohammed as the running mate for Seyi Makinde in the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. Sources confirm that Makinde, who is currently in his second and final term as the governor of Oyo State, has submitted his nomination for the presidential race.

The nomination process requires a running mate to be filed alongside the presidential candidacy. Despite confusion surrounding the names, it has been clarified that Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, is not to be confused with Ibrahim Adamu Bala, who is also pursuing a Senate seat.

The APM has yet to issue an official statement regarding this nomination. On May 14, Makinde participated in a joint rally organized by a faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan, where he expressed his commitment to tackling issues such as insecurity, unemployment, and the rising cost of living if elected.
