APM Seeks Cross-Party Support for Makinde in 2027

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) is actively seeking support across opposition party lines for its presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, in the upcoming 2027 elections. The party has noted the endorsement from the Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Makinde, who is currently the Governor of Oyo State.

APM’s National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, stated that the primary goal is to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, President Bola Tinubu. Yusuf emphasized that the reaffirmation of support from the Ekiti PDP is a significant boost for Makinde's campaign, highlighting his performance as governor and his appeal among Nigerian youth.

The party is focused on galvanizing cross-party support and believes that many Nigerians are ready to mobilize for Makinde, viewing him as a credible alternative to the current administration. Yusuf confirmed that discussions with like-minded political parties are progressing positively, and the APM is committed to winning the election.
