Renewed Hope Leaders Dismiss Opposition Coalition for 2027

During the inauguration of The Renewed Hope Project 2027 in Abuja, Major General Abdulmalik Jibril, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, asserted that the coalition of opposition presidential candidates, facilitated by the G100 group, would be an "exercise in futility." He emphasized that the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, rather than political maneuvering, would determine the outcome of the 2027 presidential election. Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Grand Patron of the Renewed Hope movement, highlighted the initiative's role in mobilizing support for Tinubu by presenting verifiable facts about the administration's achievements.

Akume's representative, Prof. Babatunde Bernard, cited local government autonomy and digital reforms as examples of the administration's efforts to improve governance. Jibril dismissed the opposition's potential impact, stating that Nigerians would evaluate the administration based on its record and the effects of its policies on their lives.
