Kashim Defends 2027 Guber Ambition for Bauchi State

Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, the NDC gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 elections in Bauchi State, has defended his ambition, stating that it is driven by a commitment to consolidate the achievements of the current administration and address the state's outstanding developmental challenges. In response to an opinion article titled "Bauchi 2027 Guber Race: A Joke," Kashim emphasized the importance of public debate in democracy and argued that the upcoming election should not be framed as a contest of continuity but rather as an opportunity to build on existing achievements with fresh ideas and practical solutions.

He acknowledged the successes of Governor Bala Mohammed's administration, including infrastructure development and reforms, but also pointed out critical issues such as poverty reduction, youth unemployment, healthcare delivery, quality education, agricultural productivity, industrialization, water supply, and job creation that require urgent attention. Kashim expressed confidence that voters would make informed decisions based on candidates' capabilities and vision for the state.
