Bauchi PDP Rejects Alliance with APM Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State has officially rejected any alliance or collaboration with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). This announcement was made by the PDP State Chairman, Ibrahim Kashim Toro, on Tuesday at the party’s secretariat along Maiduguri Road in Bauchi.

Toro stated that the faction that had announced a merger with the APM was no longer part of the legitimate PDP, alleging that its members had been expelled prior to this development. He emphasized that his faction is the authentic PDP in Bauchi State, supported by various court judgments.

Toro confirmed that the PDP has fielded candidates for all elective positions for the upcoming 2027 general elections, with their names already uploaded on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. He urged party members to disregard the rival faction's announcement and focus on mobilizing support for the PDP candidates.

The party’s Legal Adviser, Yahaya Garkuwa, reiterated that the Toro-led faction is the legitimate PDP in the state.
