COPAC Urges ADC to Hold National Candidate Summit for 2027

The Coalition of Political Action Committees (COPAC) has called on the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to urgently convene a National Candidate Summit. This initiative aims to align the party's campaign structures with its manifesto and policy agenda in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

A communiqué issued by COPAC's Director of Communications, Olu Onemola, emphasizes the need for a unified vision within the ADC, particularly under the leadership of Chairman David Mark and presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. The summit is expected to provide candidates with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the party's manifesto and strengthen their campaign strategies.

COPAC warns that fragmented messaging could undermine the party's electoral prospects and urges ADC leadership to ensure candidates operate within a unified strategic framework. The communiqué also highlights the importance of resolving internal disputes to effectively prosecute the national campaign.
