NDC Urges Members to Disregard Unauthorized Primary Results

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a statement urging its members to disregard various unauthorized primary election results circulating on social media. The party emphasized that the official results from the nationwide primaries conducted on May 28-29, 2026, will be announced solely by the National Executive Council (NEC).

This statement was released on Sunday and highlighted that the NEC is responsible for ratifying and announcing the outcomes of the primaries. The NDC reassured stakeholders of its commitment to transparency and due process.

A meeting of the NEC is scheduled for June 3, 2026, with preparations for this meeting commencing on June 2, 2026, in Abuja. The NEC will provide a final platform to review and formally adopt the primary election outcomes, which will include the names of successful candidates for the presidential, governorship, and legislative positions.
