ADC Accuses APC of Diverting N800 Billion for Tinubu

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is diverting N800 billion from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) for political purposes, specifically to finance President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027. In a statement issued on Tuesday by ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party described this alleged diversion as "shameless," "cruel," and "criminal." The ADC claims that this action confirms long-standing suspicions among Nigerian citizens regarding the misuse of public resources.

They argue that despite receiving record-high allocations, state governments have failed to improve living conditions for citizens, contributing to rising inflation, worsening poverty, and insecurity. The ADC called for an independent investigation into these allegations, emphasizing that the funds allocated to FAAC belong to the Nigerian people and should not be used for political campaigns.
