ADC Faction Disavows Abdullahi's N800bn Allegation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) faction, under the leadership of Nafiu Bala Gomb, has publicly distanced itself from a statement made by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Public Secretary of the ADC. Abdullahi's claim suggested that N800 billion was deducted from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) for political purposes in preparation for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

In response, Christoph Okechukwu, the Director of Media and Public Affairs for the ADC, reaffirmed the party's commitment to principled opposition politics and stated that the party disowns Abdullahi's statement, asserting that it does not reflect the official position of the ADC. Okechukwu emphasized that even as an opposition party, the ADC will not engage in baseless propaganda that misleads the public.

The ADC remains focused on its role as a principled opposition party, aiming to challenge and critique government policies that are deemed detrimental to the welfare of the Nigerian people.
