ADC Accuses Tinubu's Administration of Election Manipulation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has raised concerns regarding alleged efforts by the current administration, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to pre-determine the outcome of Nigeria's 2027 general elections. During a press conference in Abuja, ADC's National Chairman, David Mark, accused the administration of systematically undermining democratic institutions to weaken opposition forces ahead of the polls.

Mark specifically pointed to the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) recent decision to withdraw recognition of ADC leadership as part of a broader strategy to destabilize the party. He argued that this creates a situation where Tinubu emerges as the only viable option for the presidency in 2027.

Mark emphasized that the current administration's actions threaten Nigeria's democracy and the credibility of future elections. He called on the Nigerian international community to remain vigilant, warning that the integrity of the 2027 elections is already at risk.

The ADC insists that no administrative action by INEC should override its internal processes.
