NDC Mobilizes in Ekiti for 2027 Elections, Targets 45%

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched an aggressive grassroots mobilization campaign in Ekiti ahead of the 2027 general elections, with a target of securing at least 45% of the total votes for its presidential candidate, Peter Obi. This initiative was announced during a stakeholders’ and leaders’ engagement in Ido-Ekiti, Ido-Osi Local Government Area, where Prince Adeyinka Alli, the NDC senatorial candidate for Ekiti North, interacted with party members.

Oni Peter, an NDC chieftain, stated that the party is focused on uniting like-minded individuals to address poor leadership in Nigeria. He criticized the current economic situation, asserting that growth figures have not improved citizens' living conditions.

Musa Arogundade, the Ekiti State Chairman of the NDC, encouraged members to intensify their mobilization efforts. Alli lamented the inadequate representation of Ekiti North in the National Assembly, highlighting issues such as unemployment and infrastructure deficits, and expressed his commitment to providing true representation for the people.
