Nweke Promises Vote Protection in Enugu East 2027 Elections

Kingsley Nweke, the Peoples Democratic Party senatorial candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, made a commitment to protect votes and ensure that the electorate's will prevails during the election. Addressing journalists at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Press Centre in Enugu, Nweke, who is from Nkanu West Local Government Area and currently resides in the United States, stated that his familiarity with the political environment in Enugu would aid his electoral participation.

He has been visiting Enugu at least twice a year since moving to the US. Nweke outlined plans to monitor votes from polling units through the collation process to prevent electoral fraud.

He advised voters to assess politicians based on their accessibility and community involvement, asserting that past engagement is crucial for effective representation. Nweke's previous initiatives included youth empowerment programs, which have employed over 70 youths, and he promised to focus on youth empowerment, agriculture, sports, technology, and infrastructure if elected.
