Enugu Lawmaker Launches 2027 Re-election Campaign

Hon. Princess Obiagulu Ugwu, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Enugu South Rural Constituency, officially launched her campaign for re-election in the 2027 general elections on Thursday in Enugu. During the flag-off, Ugwu expressed her satisfaction with Governor Peter Mbah's administration, which she believes is changing governance in Enugu state.

She described the current campaign season as unprecedented in structure and coordination, initiated by a candidates' summit led by Chief Victor Udeh, the Chief of Staff to the Governor. This summit aimed to provide candidates with guidance on conducting structured, issue-based campaigns while fostering unity among party members.

Ugwu stated that the campaign would focus on transparency and communication with citizens regarding the achievements of the Mbah administration. As part of the campaign activities, a compendium detailing the administration's accomplishments over its first three-plus years was presented to citizens to equip them with factual information as the state approaches the 2027 elections.
