NDC Candidate Yawutama Amazon Unveils Development Agenda

On Monday, Yawutama Emmanuel Amazon, the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Askira-Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency in Borno State, unveiled his developmental agenda aimed at addressing the needs of his constituency. This event followed his collection of party nomination and expression of interest forms at the NDC National Secretariat in Wuse II, Abuja.

Amazon articulated that the development of Askira-Uba/Hawul must transcend mere political rhetoric, emphasizing priorities such as security, education reform—including the institutionalization of Almajiri/Tsangaya education—youth empowerment, agriculture, and the rebuilding of communities affected by insurgency. He stated, “This nomination is not about me.

It is about the people of Askira-Uba and Hawul who deserve peace, schools that work, jobs for our youth, and a voice that will be heard in Abuja.” Amazon also pledged to collaborate closely with traditional rulers, religious leaders, and security agencies to ensure that educational and security policies yield tangible benefits at the grassroots level.
