Defence Minister Confident of APC Victory in Kaduna 2027

On Thursday, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.), the Minister of Defence, stated that he is confident President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain the presidency and win in Kaduna State during the 2027 general elections. Musa dismissed the notion that the opposition could defeat Tinubu, asserting that the APC would also secure the governorship and other elective positions in Kaduna.

He made these remarks during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, following comments from Peter Obi and Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), who warned against election manipulation. Musa characterized the perceived dissatisfaction with the APC in the North as a matter of individual perception and rejected claims of growing opposition.

He confidently stated that the APC would win at all levels in Kaduna. Musa also defended the Tinubu administration's policies, urging Nigerians to be patient as the benefits of recent reforms would become apparent over time.
