Awlaw Community Demands Accountability from Sen. Ngwu

Natives and residents of Awlaw community in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State have called on Senator Osita Ngwu, who represents the Enugu North Senatorial District, to explain the lack of constituency projects benefiting the community over the past four years. This demand was articulated during a monthly meeting of the Awlaw Strategic Development Initiative at the Sir GTN Tabansi Civic Centre in Ubaha.

The community resolved that all political office seekers must account for their stewardship before seeking re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections. Mr. Imah Felix, Coordinator of the initiative and Founder of the Center for Strategic Leadership and Youth Orientation (CENSTLEYO), criticized the absence of projects despite government allocations of ₦2 billion to each Senator and ₦1 billion to each House of Representatives member for constituency projects.

The community expressed a refusal to accept inadequate empowerment measures and insisted that future lawmakers must engage with them to discuss their needs.
