Ex-Bauchi Governor Abubakar Seeks APC Nomination for 2027

Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, the immediate past governor of Bauchi State, has officially expressed his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election by purchasing the nomination form from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Abubakar, who served as governor from 2015 to 2019, emphasized his commitment to the party's internal procedures and democratic principles as he prepares for the upcoming elections.

He has indicated a preference for a consensus method for candidate selection, believing it would foster unity within the APC and help avoid internal divisions that could weaken the party's chances in the general elections. Abubakar reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership at both national and state levels.

He expressed gratitude to party stakeholders for their continued support and promised to focus on legacy projects and development programs if elected as the next governor of Bauchi State.
