Bauchi Reps Members Defect from PDP to APM

On Thursday, during a plenary session, Tajudeen Abba, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, read a notice of defection from four lawmakers representing Bauchi State, who have left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to join the People's Movement (APM). The defecting members include Muham Shehu Zaki from the Zaki Federal Constituency, Aliyu Garu from the Bauchi Federal Constituency, Sani Tanko Shira from the Giad Federal Constituency, and Mansur Soro from the Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency.

This move is part of a broader trend, as several lawmakers have switched parties in anticipation of the upcoming general elections. Additionally, Jeremiah Umaru from the Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency in Nasarawa State also defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
