Gombe PDP Aspirant Abdulkadir Saleh Rejects Pantami

Abdulkadir Saleh, a gubernatorial aspirant for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, has publicly rejected the emergence of Isa Pantami as the party's governorship candidate. Saleh criticized the nomination process as unfair, stating that he was surprised to learn of Pantami's candidacy, which was announced without prior explanation from the party leadership.

The PDP had scheduled its primary elections for Sunday but postponed them to Tuesday, leading to concerns about transparency. Saleh condemned Pantami's nomination, alleging that he had previously participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary on May 21, 2026.

He described the situation as an injustice against other aspirants and confirmed that his legal team is already working on the matter to seek appropriate legal redress.
