Hayatu-Deen Seeks ADC Presidential Ticket for 2027

Hayatu-Deen, a renowned economist and banker, has announced his candidacy for the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections. In an interview with Arise Television, he highlighted the pressing issues of economic hardship and worsening insecurity in Nigeria, calling for urgent leadership intervention.

Hayatu-Deen criticized the current government's policies, describing them as disconnected from the people's needs, and pledged to offer a credible alternative to stabilize the economy, restore security, and rebuild public trust. He emphasized the importance of calm and experienced leadership, drawing on his four decades of experience in economic reform and investment attraction.

Hayatu-Deen, who previously served as the managing director and later chairman of FSB International Bank, has a notable track record in the financial sector and has contributed to various economic policy reforms. He urged ADC members to prioritize unity in preparation for the elections, joining a growing list of political heavyweights, including Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, and Peter Obi, who have also expressed their intent to contest.
