Hayatu-Deen Rejects Court Challenge Over ADC Primary Results

Moham Hayatu-Deen, a presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), declared that he will not contest the results of the May 25, 2026, ADC presidential primary in court. This decision comes after he, alongside other candidates like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, participated in the primary.

Hayatu-Deen expressed disappointment with the electoral process, citing widespread vote rigging and interference by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He emphasized the importance of a united opposition to address Nigeria's challenges and stated that the primary results did not fully meet expectations.

In a statement titled "Campaign Silent Major Future Democracy," he called for Nigerians to remain hopeful and engaged in the political process, urging them not to accept dysfunction as normal. Hayatu-Deen thanked his supporters and reiterated the need for credible leadership within the ADC to foster a fairer and more prosperous Nigeria.
