Kano APC Chieftain Backs Tinubu for Second Term

Rabi’u Sulaiman Bichi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, stating that his re-election is essential for sustaining ongoing reforms and maintaining the rotational power-sharing arrangement between the North and South. Bichi made these remarks during a strategic meeting of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinators in Kano.

He argued that the informal understanding of power rotation is crucial for Nigeria's political stability and warned against abandoning it, citing the electoral failures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 and 2023 as consequences of disregarding this arrangement. Bichi acknowledged that while current economic reforms may cause temporary hardship, they are necessary for long-term growth.

He urged APC coordinators to enhance grassroots mobilization and educate citizens on government policies. Bichi expressed confidence in Tinubu's vision and called for support of the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at fostering national prosperity and development.
