Kebbi APC Rejects Automatic Tickets for 2027 Elections

The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has ruled out the granting of automatic tickets to aspirants for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This decision was articulated by the state APC chairman, Kana Zuru, during a rally held on Saturday at the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi, which saw participation from supporters across all 21 local government areas of the state.

Zuru emphasized the party's commitment to internal democracy, stating that competitive primaries will determine the candidates. He noted that unity and cohesion within the party are vital for its strength in the upcoming electoral cycle.

Additionally, Aishatu Abubakar Gunabi, the APC women leader in the state, reaffirmed the party's solidarity. Kebbi State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu urged political office holders to meet public expectations, while Suleiman Moham Argungu, the party's national organizing secretary, expressed confidence in the party's prospects in Kebbi, highlighting grassroots mobilization and increased political engagement as key factors.
