Obi: Kwankwaso Will Be Equal Partner, Not Spare Tyre

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), announced that Rabiu Kwankwaso will not serve as a mere "spare tyre" if he is chosen as his running mate for the 2027 presidential elections. During the NDC national convention in Abuja, Obi expressed his commitment to creating an inclusive government where both he and Kwankwaso will work as equal partners.

He emphasized that decisions will be made collaboratively, ensuring that every stakeholder is consulted. Obi highlighted Kwankwaso's active involvement in the political landscape, noting his previous performance in the last presidential election, where he finished in third place behind Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu.

Obi's vision includes a fair society where individuals, regardless of their background, have equal opportunities for success, particularly through education and security.
