Kwara PDP Dissolves Caucuses Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially dissolved all party caucuses across the 16 local government areas as part of a strategic move to reposition the party for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This decision was made by the State Executive Committee and key stakeholders during a closed-door meeting with party leader and former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

PDP State Publicity Secretary Olusegun Adewara announced this development in a statement, emphasizing that the dissolution marks the start of a comprehensive reorganization of the party's structures. The PDP aims to refresh its leadership, broaden member participation, and create a more effective political machinery to secure electoral victories.

Adewara acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing caucus members and urged party members to remain united and committed as new caucuses are formed. Mechanisms for the recruitment and inauguration of these new caucuses are already being established.
