Lagos APC Holds Prayer Session for Tinubu, Hamzat

On Tuesday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos organized an interfaith prayer session at Onikan Stadium for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s Lagos State governorship candidate Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and other candidates in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The event was attended by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat, state APC chairman Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, religious leaders, traditional institutions, and support groups from across the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the significance of prayer, stating, “Nothing is greater than prayer,” and noted that the session marked the start of the party's electoral preparations. Hamzat expressed gratitude for the successful prayer session and urged continued prayers for the success of the elections.

He emphasized the need to commit their political activities to God, expressing confidence in emerging victorious. Hon. Mohammed Bello Oyinlomo Danmole, Chairman of the Interfaith Prayers Planning Committee, stated that the gathering aimed to commence the party's journey to the 2027 elections on a prayerful note.
