Lagos APC Plans to Reverse 2023 Election Loss by 2027

Cornelius Ojelabi, the newly elected chairman of the Lagos APC, has pledged to reverse the party's loss in the 2023 presidential election during the upcoming 2027 general elections. Speaking at the party's state secretariat in Ogba, Ojelabi highlighted that the Labour Party's Peter Obi won Lagos with 582,454 votes, defeating APC's Bola Tinubu, who garnered 572,606 votes, and PDP's Atiku Abubakar, who received 75,750 votes.

Ojelabi criticized the party's performance and urged the new executive council to work towards delivering overwhelming votes in 2027. He emphasized the need for unity within the party, warning against factionalism and encouraging members to prioritize collective interests.

Ojelabi also mentioned the completion of the first phase of electronic membership registration, which aims to strengthen the party's electoral base. He expressed confidence in the APC's ability to convert its membership strength into electoral victories in future polls.
