NDC Disowns Fake Candidate List Circulating Online

The Nigerian Democrat Congress (NDC) issued a statement disavowing a list of candidates that has been circulating on social media, describing it as fake and misleading. The statement, released from the party's national secretariat and attributed to Barr.

Ikenna Alex Morgan Enekweizu, cautioned members of the public, particularly those in Imo, Abia, and Anambra states, to disregard the purported list. The NDC stressed that the only valid candidate lists are those officially submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) through appropriate channels, in full compliance with the Electoral Act.

The party accused the creators of the fraudulent list of being mischief-makers aiming to sow confusion and division within the party. The NDC has commenced an investigation into the source of the fabricated document and will take necessary measures to protect its internal processes and maintain discipline within its ranks.

The party reassured its members to remain focused on building a credible political platform to address Nigeria's challenges.
