PDP Sets Presidential Nomination Forms at N100 Million

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that the cost of presidential nomination forms for the 2027 elections will be set at N100 million. This decision was made during a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) held on Monday, as stated by the party's National Public Secretary, Ememobong.

Additionally, the PDP has approved the pricing for other positions: governorship forms will cost N40 million, Senate forms N10 million, House of Representatives forms N7 million, and State House Assembly forms N2 million. The party will offer a 50% discount on nomination forms for female candidates and youth with disabilities.

The sale of the presidential nomination forms will commence on May 5, 2026, with a mandatory submission deadline of May 7, 2026, to the party's registered state chapters. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential national assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while governorship and state house assembly elections will take place on February 6, 2027.
