Sowore Plans Drone Defense Strategy for Nigeria's Security

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), revealed his plans to tackle insecurity in Nigeria during an interview on Arise Television's prime time program on Thursday night. He stated that technology would play a major role in his administration's security strategy, specifically proposing that drones become a key part of the defense structure.

Sowore insisted that modern technology is essential to defeat terrorism and banditry across the country, arguing that Nigeria's security crisis can no longer be managed with outdated methods and weak coordination among security agencies. He proposed establishing a central command control system to monitor criminal activities in real-time, which would help security operations track armed groups and dismantle criminal networks.

Sowore criticized current security leadership for prioritizing political interests over public safety and emphasized the need for improved intelligence gathering and coordination. He also highlighted economic hardship and unemployment as significant factors fueling insecurity, advocating for job creation and educational opportunities to reduce crime.
