ADC Faction Uploads Presidential Candidate for 2027 Elections

The Nafiu Bala-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed the successful upload of its presidential and vice-presidential candidates' credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Nafiu Bala disclosed this information in a statement issued on Sunday, although he did not reveal the identity of the candidates.

This development comes amid growing disagreements within the ADC regarding its leadership structure as it prepares for the upcoming elections. Bala emphasized that the submission of candidates reflects the faction's commitment to protecting the interests of the party's founding members and strengthening its participation in the electoral process.

The faction aims to present credible, people-centered candidates to promote good governance and bring hope to Nigerians. This announcement follows a similar declaration from a rival ADC faction led by former Senate President David Mark, which has also uploaded its presidential candidate's credentials to the INEC portal, highlighting internal divisions within the party.
