ADC Denies Bala's Claims on INEC Candidate Uploads

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed strong opposition to claims made by Nafiu Bala, who asserted that his faction successfully uploaded candidates for the 2027 general elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. INEC's Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Victoria Eta Messi, confirmed that Bala's claims are untrue, stating that Bala is not recognized as the party's national chairman.

The INEC portal lists David Mark as the national chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as the national secretary, indicating that Bala's faction does not hold official recognition. The ADC has called for an investigation into Bala for alleged forgery and unauthorized use of documents.

Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's public secretary, urged the public to disregard Bala's claims, emphasizing that the ADC remains focused on providing credible alternatives ahead of the elections. The leadership, including David Mark, has dismissed Bala's statements as false and emphasized that INEC does not issue nomination portal access codes to factions.
