Nafiu Bala Resigns from ADC Amid Leadership Crisis

Nafiu Bala, a leading figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), announced his resignation from the party during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday. This decision follows ongoing leadership crises and fears of internal disputes that could hinder the ADC's ability to present candidates for the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Leke Abejide, who represents the Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi State, also resigned from the party.

Bala explained that his decision was based on legal advice aimed at protecting his political future, although he did not explicitly declare his next political destination. His resignation has sparked speculation about potential support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a possible alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Bala described the move as difficult but necessary, accusing individuals of destabilizing the party.
