Umar Namadi Forms Committees for 2027 Elections in Jigawa

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has initiated the formation of mobilization committees throughout the state, aimed at reinforcing party unity and reconnecting with grassroots members in preparation for the 2027 general elections. These committees will operate at the state, local government, and ward levels.

During a meeting with top government officials and political appointees, Namadi emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong and active party presence. The committees are tasked with meeting party supporters, listening to their concerns, and encouraging broader participation in party activities.

Governor Namadi noted that the initiative is essential for restoring confidence in the government and ensuring that the party remains intact. He will chair the state committee, with the state party chairman serving as co-chair.

Similar structures will be established for local government and ward committees, focusing on strengthening party structures, boosting voter registration, and identifying challenges to sustain good relationships among members and stakeholders.
