North Central Agenda Backs Tinubu for 2027 Election

The North Central Agenda (NCA), a political and advocacy pressure group in North Central Nigeria, has announced its unconditional support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the lead-up to the 2027 presidential election, labeling his victory in the region as a “done deal.” This declaration was made during a conference focused on the development of the North Central region, attended by delegates from all six states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Dr. Ene Lilian Ogbole, the convener of the NCA, praised President Tinubu's policy choices since he assumed office on May 29, 2023, which have reportedly brought significant transformation to a region previously suffering from infrastructural deficits and security crises.

Ogbole highlighted various infrastructure projects, including major highways and educational investments, and noted that military operations against banditry have allowed farmers to return to their fields. She emphasized the importance of the North Central zone as a key electoral determinant since 1999 and stated that the administration's equitable distribution of capital projects has shifted the region's political landscape.
