Osun APC Declares No Anointed Candidates for 2027 Elections

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially stated that there will be no anointed candidates for the National Assembly and state assembly elections scheduled for 2027. The leadership, represented by spokesperson Kola Olabisi, urged party members to refrain from actions that could destabilize the party.

The statement emphasized that any claims of anointing candidates are falsehoods and should be dismissed. Members were encouraged to support the party's collective efforts, particularly in the upcoming governorship elections, where Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji is the candidate, with Engr.

Benjamin Kayod Adereti as his running mate. The party aims to avoid internal conflicts and prioritize success in the elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled primaries for April 23 and May 30, 2027, ahead of the governorship elections on August 15.
