No Opposition to Tinubu in Rivers for 2027 Elections

Allwel Ihunda, the Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), declared in Abuja that President Bola Tinubu will face no opposition in Rivers State during the 2027 general elections. This statement was made during the flag-off of the Tunga Madaki-Zuba road project in the Federal Capital Territory.

Ihunda expressed confidence in Tinubu's acceptance among the Rivers people and commended the achievements of Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, in transforming the infrastructure of the Federal Capital Territory. He noted that Wike's performance has enhanced the image of Rivers State and demonstrated the leadership capacity of the administration.

Ihunda emphasized that the Rivers people are proud to support Tinubu's administration, which he believes will strengthen public confidence ahead of the upcoming elections. He also mentioned the formation of the Rainbow Coalition, a virtual political party aimed at uniting interests for the federal government.
