Arewa Youth Assembly Backs Tinubu for 2027 Election

The Arewa Youth Assembly has publicly declared its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. The group, led by Speaker Moh Salihu Danlami, emphasized that there should be "no vacancy in Aso Rock" until May 29, 2031, to allow the South to complete its eight-year tenure.

They warned northern politicians against contesting in the 2027 presidential election, asserting that such actions would disrupt the political arrangement and undermine national stability. The group argued that respecting the rotational presidency is crucial for national unity and fairness.

They commended Tinubu's administration for its bold economic reforms, which they believe have contributed to fiscal stability and improved external reserves. The assembly reiterated its stance that the 2027 elections would be a test of political continuity and national unity, urging northern politicians to prioritize collective interests over individual ambitions.
