Arewa Youth Assembly Backs Tinubu for 2027 Election

The Arewa Youth Assembly has publicly declared its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, stating that there should be "no vacancy in Aso Rock until May 29, 2031." The group, represented by its speaker, Moh Salihu Danlami, warned northern politicians against entering the presidential race in 2027, insisting that the North must wait to allow the South to complete its eight-year tenure. They argue that this approach is necessary for political fairness and national unity.

The assembly criticized any attempts by northern politicians to disregard this arrangement, asserting that such actions would face opposition from youth across the region. They reaffirmed their stance that the 2027 elections would be a test of political continuity and national unity.

Additionally, the group commended Tinubu's administration for its bold economic reforms, which they believe have contributed to fiscal stability and stronger external reserves, despite acknowledging the challenges ahead for long-term economic recovery.
