NYA and ADP Unite for Youth Presidential Candidate in 2027

The Youth Alliance (NYA) has partnered with the Action Democratic Party (ADP) to advocate for a youth president in Nigeria for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This announcement was made during a press conference in Kano on April 16, 2026, where NYA's ambassador, Aliyu Bin Abba, emphasized the need for change in Nigeria's political landscape, criticizing the current state of affairs.

He expressed confidence that the ADP would win the elections, highlighting the party's credibility compared to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Although the NYA and ADP lack significant financial backing, they believe in the potential of Nigeria's youth to bring about the desired transformation.

The ADP has already established structures across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as well as 774 local government areas, to support their campaign. The event also featured performances by local artists, showcasing cultural engagement alongside political ambitions.
