Ogun APC Bans Unauthorized Screening for 2027 Elections

The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially banned unauthorized screening of aspirants for the upcoming 2027 local government elections. This directive was communicated during a stakeholders' meeting held on June 12, 2023, at the Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta.

The party's leadership, including State Chairman Yemi Sanusi and other key members, warned that anyone who disregards this directive will face severe sanctions. The meeting also addressed the misappropriation of recently released funds, which are strictly designated for hosting meetings across the 236 wards in the 20 local government areas.

The party emphasized the importance of regular meetings at the ward and local government levels to ensure effective mobilization for the elections. Folashad Adeyemo, representing local government chairmen, called for increased grassroots efforts to prepare the party for the electoral challenges ahead.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to unity and discipline as the party gears up for the 2027 elections.
