Imo APC Urges Candidates to Reconcile Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has mandated its candidates to reconcile with former aspirants in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This directive was issued during a consultative meeting held at the party's secretariat along Okigwe Road in Owerri.

State Chairman Austin Onyedebelu advised candidates to engage former aspirants actively and ensure their interests are accommodated within their constituencies. He stressed the necessity of maintaining party unity and warned against actions that could alienate loyal members.

Onyebedelu highlighted the importance of a structured campaign that includes all genuine party members. He acknowledged the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the electoral process and encouraged candidates to broaden their support base while adhering to INEC timelines.

The statement was signed by the state public secretary, Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, indicating the party's commitment to peace and discipline as they approach the elections.
