Ondo PWDs Endorse Tinubu, Seek Greater Empowerment

On a declaration program organized by the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) in Akure, persons with disabilities (PWDs) from all 18 local government areas of Ondo State endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term. Mrs Arise Folashade, Chairman of the Ondo State Agency for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, stated that their support stems from Tinubu's administration's commitment to inclusiveness and representation for PWDs.

She praised Tinubu for appointing a Special Adviser on Disability Matters and enhancing disability representation through the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities. Folashade urged the Federal Government to implement more empowerment programs for PWDs to enhance their socio-economic well-being.

Engr. Gbalajobi Babatunde, Ondo State APC Special Leader, emphasized the need for better representation of PWDs in politics, advocating for a rights-based perspective rather than one of charity. He encouraged PWDs to actively engage in politics and national development.
