Opposition Parties Must Unite to Defeat Tinubu in 2027

Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), stated that opposition political parties must unite to defeat President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election. He made this declaration on Monday at a summit of opposition parties organized by the G100 in Abuja.

Baba-Ahmed emphasized that the opposition could only achieve its goal by setting aside differences and collaborating effectively. He noted that no single opposition party could claim the capacity to defeat the APC alone, highlighting that all participating parties face existential threats.

He described the gathering as a significant political alliance, indicating that Nigerians still have alternatives ahead of the 2027 elections. Baba-Ahmed asserted that the ambition to replace the current administration is genuine and should not be dismissed.

He urged opposition leaders to maintain their cooperation to provide Nigerians with a viable alternative to the ruling party.
