Over 5,000 Politicians Defect to ADC in Niger State

In a significant political shift ahead of the 2027 elections, over 5,000 members from the All Progressives Congress (APC), People's Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Niger State. This mass defection took place over the weekend in Wushishi Local Government Area, where the defectors expressed support for Dr.

Moham Kpautagi's governorship ambitions. Mallam Abdul Ishaku, speaking on behalf of the defectors, indicated that their decision was made in confidence of the leadership under Kpautagi, aiming to strengthen the ADC's structure in the state.

The local party chairman, Hussaini Zakari Makun Sidi, welcomed the new members at the ADC secretariat, assuring them of equal opportunities and inclusion within the party, emphasizing the ADC's commitment to democratic participation and political development in Nigeria.
