PDP Successfully Uploads Candidates for 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) announced the successful upload of its Presidential and National Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal, a significant milestone in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Hon.

Abdulrahman Moham, the party's national chairman, issued a statement on Sunday, highlighting the success as a demonstration of PDP's commitment to full participation in the upcoming polls. The party is currently awaiting the completion of the upload of its governorship and state house assembly candidates to the INEC portal.

The PDP has faced internal challenges, with two factions claiming leadership; however, the group led by Moham is recognized by the court and has access to the INEC portal. The faction led by Tanimu Turaki, which contested the court's decision, is seeking to overturn an earlier ruling and form an interim national working committee.

The PDP aims to build a stronger unit and provide better leadership for the country.
