PDP Disowns Mobilization for Makinde's 2027 Bid in Ekiti

The Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has publicly disowned members who are allegedly mobilizing for the presidential bid of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde in 2027, in collaboration with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). Chieftains of the party, including Mrs. Lanre Fajuyi and zonal publicity secretary Chief Sanya Atofarati, had announced this mobilization earlier in the week.

However, Hon Lanre Omolase, the State Chairman of the PDP, issued a statement in Ado Ekiti clarifying that these actions do not represent the party's official stance. He condemned the moves as treachery and stated that the Ekiti State PDP distances itself from both the APM and any unauthorized presidential mobilization for Makinde.

Omolase urged members and the public to disregard such claims and warned against individuals using the party's name for personal political interests, reaffirming the party's commitment to due process and institutional discipline.
