PDP Aims to Reclaim Kwara Government House in 2027

The Kwara State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), under the leadership of Chairman Issa Bawa, has expressed a strong commitment to reclaiming power in the 2027 gubernatorial elections. During a recent gathering at the party's secretariat in Ilorin, Bawa emphasized the importance of adhering to due process and internal democracy in selecting credible candidates.

He assured party members that the selection process would be transparent and fair, aiming to present candidates who genuinely deserve to represent the party. Bawa highlighted the growing support from stakeholders, particularly youth and women, in areas like Offa.

He also commended Sahe Popoola for his loyalty and discipline, urging aspirants to emulate his commitment. Former Senate President Bukola Saraki expressed confidence that the PDP would return to power, reflecting on the party's previous losses in 2019 and 2023.

Popoola has also declared his intent to contest for a national assembly seat in 2027, reaffirming loyalty to the party's leadership.
